@sandmanred , that would be a 40's pckard style and it is a hell of a tight fir under the foot. I favor this method but get tons of jams and needle breaks. Perhaps they were done on a different machine.
Pressure foot and seam sealing. I am just wondering if this has much to do with how tight a seam is sealed vs just tension alone.. Common snese tells me it does but just wondering.
A US company with a Canadian Maple Leaf.
@soar , I am interested in the k-grip. I will have to look at this. It is hard to get away from what I use as it is so multi purpose. But unlike Rev Up my glue does not sit well in the critter long and make a huge mess of it.
@TedP , I too just used a lot of Nautolex and loved it but the grain was elk texture so did not match this project. I appreciate the feedback on the marine it is new stock and just as you describe.
@John
@Adam12 , I have never had problems with Spradling anything but this material is stiff and not pliable at all.
I think the new materials are lacking some give. I have new marine vinyl not old stock and it is more like a flexible paperboard. Really shows foam imperfections as well.
@John, we need to archive @Mazda Carnage post it is keeper information.
I always take a yardstick and a sheer of vinyl that is a yard. Lay it over guess how much waste you will have and calcualte usage.
@trive2 , I will do a redo for you. I wont comment as it may be my best friends work you are showing.
Yes that is the top coat maybe. I experiment with different material in a local clinic always testing brands. Denali is probably priced for volume sales thus $10.00 a meter.
@LLeeT , I am pretty stiff on using Spirit Millenium for dental due to it being blended with antifungal and its advanced beautyguard top coating. It is also 37 oz vinyl hard to bend for me and stretch but my choice to use. The other brands have their topcoating like Morberns Morcare to resist bleac...
@Jordan , I will look through my books. It is always good to spend time looking at what you have anyways.
I fully understand the TOP coatings and for Dental refuse to use anything but Naugahyde Spirit, Bolta or some MOrbern with Morcare. I am currently very happy with Challenger too. That Physio Table should have been changed long ago and dont kid yourself on the repeated cleaning of these tables not a ...
@rhonda and electricity, oil , maintenance and reapair replacement of you equipment.
@Ray Good luck getting $120.00 to do this job.
I can tell you that Spirit will last 03 years then start to harden. I have found PV that is 30 oz holds up just as long. In doing all tables moving forward I will use Denali Automotive vinyl have tested it and it is very tailorable, stretches well and lasts just as long.
@Janet , I am a pure lucky needle trained trimmer and the videos John puts out will help you clear that issue. If the pattern looks original from a manufacture I tend to copy.
@Ray, that is Naugahyde so things have changed there. What are you recovering? What is the budget per yard of material?
