I bought some "space pens" a few years ago that were silver and would erase easily.

I certainly think it helps but nothing takes the place of skilled patterning and sewing. It will make a good trimmer's work better but it won't make a bad trimmer's work good.

@BigRig, Check out this video. Be sure and watch it to the end. It gives a good explanation of the theory we are talking about.

Why not use matching vinyl or leather? As long as it is patterned well, it will look fine and be durable.

Generally with vinyl you want the stretch to go lengthwise. For example, looking at your bolsters on the lower back rest, if the stretch was vertical when you stretched the material lengthwise, it would cause the material to roll around the bolster and help with the puckering. With that particular d...

@John, @John Long , If both you guys open your bobin case and flip the lever up to sew your thread will wrap around it exactly like hers is doing. It is a nice looking little machine but do you guys think it is worth fixing? I had a $25.00 Kenmore that sewed like a demon maybe its best to look at a...

Looks to me like the problem is that shaft. It should not get caught around that shaft. Can you post a picture of with the bobbin and case installed. I'm wonder if there is something wrong with that part. That is exactly what it looks like to me. Not only is the shaft loose but it is protruding up ...

Interesting. I did a little research and found Pfaff sold out to Husqvarna in 2014 and then Husqvarna sold the company to SVP who now owns Singer, Viking, and Pfaff and yes they are built in China......Sad. I must have been under a rock somewhere. I continue to be thankful my old Adler 267 is sittin...

Wow. I have never heard of a lemon "Phaff" nor have I heard of Phaff out sourcing their manufacturing. I thought they were all made in Germany.

I'm sorry. I don't have a clue. You would need to find a service manual for it or what ever machine it was copied from I suspect. John said earlier it looked like it was copied from a Singer model 15. I wonder if you could find service information for that on line?

Looking at the video again and realizing this is amvertical bobbin machine it looks to me like the center shaft is not installed correctly. This is causing the hook assembly to be loose as well as allowing themshaft to stick up toomhigh catching themthread as it goes around. You do realize, of cours...

Does this machine not have a bobbin or bobbin case? Also, you said the machine is in perfect time but I see nothing in the video that shows the shuttle trying to pick up the stitch. Thirdly, I don't see how it could pick up the thread with that much slop in the shaft. John I apologize. I missed the ...

I understand the numbers but don't have a great deal of experience with furniture. The first two numbers of your foam are the density. In other words the quality of the foam. Generaly, an inexpensive production foam will be under 20 (2.0lbs). A better quality, higher density, will be higher than 20....

Again. shop around. Chip board is only cardboard. Normally they sell the PVC or ABS in 3m (1/8”) but it is available in thin 1m. the chip board is kind of a low end product frequently used for patterns. Stop by an auto trim shop in your area and ask them where they buy their material. Where are you ...

That is way too much for PVC. See if you have an Advanced Plastics Inc in your area. At least shop some and make sure that is the best you can do.
