Thanks guys.
@BigRig I see now where a video on what to sew up first would come in very handy! I just winged it and used a little common sense.
Thanks @torriec .
I'll be calling pretty soon.
Finally started sewing on the Pete seat. Just got done making the back plate. I finally just made time to start on the upholstery and now I know how much fun everyone is having.
I'm going to say 40's to 50's based on the spring construction and nails. But it's just a guess
Maybe @kl4bidn can help with this, she recovers furniture.
@B + M
No problem and thanks for the info on the wrong size foot, I'm using an odd size cording with biggest foot I have that may not be big enough and that's probably my issue as well.
@B + M
Ok try going slow also and see if your issue goes away.
@B + M
I haven't tried adjusting the pressure on the foot, I've just been mashing the material down as it enters the foot. Skipped stiches only happen to me when I am using a welting foot and sewining 4 layers of Naugahyde. Is that true with you?
Is @B + M a natural or what?! Dude do you ever mess up? Lol
@B + M I don't think your problem is a "Juki" issue. My machine, not a juki, will skip some too sewing multiple layers of vinyl plus cording. I have found if you press the material down and compress it as much as you can as it goes under the foot the skipping goes away. The thread is bein...
@B + M
It looks to me like you are past the practice stage! Nice work.
Happy New Year everybody!
@John
Glad to see your taking a break, enjoy yourself in Mexico.
I was looking at @kl4bidn 's boot and she did the same thing we were talking about.
@Cale
I read right past where you did what I said to do lol. Yeah that's the only way to do it since the shifter boot is cylinder shape. I had the same issue when I was trying to figure out to make one for the Peterbilt then I decided to to put a zipper up one seam.
@Cale
What you can do is sew a top stitch on each of your last two pieces to put together and put them together with a blind stitch then it will look like you did a French seam on all seams.
@BigRig
I'm going to let you have this one, I would probably come up with something so off that Cale would have to sit down backwards.
So that's where 'Ol Santa got side tracked at!
Now you can look cool on your stool @Cale
You can never overkill on a compressor, buy the biggest you can afford.
@SmokinSCustoms
Merry Christmas to you and everyone on here.
