@John I would recommend the same as you. There are so many types of plastics out there that really there is no one product that fits all types best but a general purpose rigid plastic repair compound should work well for that type of repair @JoeTheRoofer is trying to accomplish.

@Jace my wife had the 4452 and it only lasted for 3 weeks before it had a catastrophic failure. She sews garment material about six hours a day 5 days a week so not real torture on a good machine but the only thing heavy duty about the singer heavy duty is the name. I bought her a circa 1975 kenmor...

@hapyrdr I'm sure going to give these hides a try. Here in Georgia they just passed a law legalizing hunting over a baited field because there are so many and truthfully the reason is probably insurance companies are paying out so much for deer collisions. Problem now is how long will the populatio...

That sounds cool, the large diameter of the wheel may make it easier to do than a smaller car wheel! Thanks for the invite just wish we didn't live on total opposite ends of the continent. Lol

Seeing how you're good at glueing things together that you weren't trying to glue and now stapling your hand we better meet at your house because it sounds like you might be stuck down permanently in that location before too long!

Long time no conversation. Sounds like you are about to get the carpet thing figured out, just remember the old saying " what doesn't kill you makes you stronger". You're still doing exacting work I see.

Sounds like we're in the same boat, I've been mainly practicing stitch control and trying to run straight lines when I have a little spare time, I've been trying to finish the outside of dad's Pete so I can get to the inside.

First off, thank you for your service! And second, nice woodworking skills. What kinds of things do you sew and make on the Rex?
Ps. Your avatar looks just me when I'm sitting at my machine trying to figure out what the crap I am doing!
