I have a 226r with a family 500w brush servo and a 1508nh with a brushless 600w consew style motor. The one on the 226 does not have near as good of control as the 1508. The 1508 can easily allow you to do one sitch at a time. Thought that my partially be that the pulleys maybe of different sizes but my personal preference is the consew brushless and if for any reason I would need to replace the motor on the 226 that is the one I would use.

@hobo, I have a consew on one of my machines and am going to stick with that brand then. Thank you for the feedback.
