#12854
Hello, I've searched through but can't seam to find an answer for this. I have done the bottom portion of a bench(bus) seat for a 32 Ford. I'm trying to line up the pleats to the back part of the seat. So it flows nice. I'm pretty new to all this and can not find much helpful information online. Thanks!

Do you have any pictures of what you've done so far?
I typically align the centre of the cushion and back of any seat I'm working on and work outwards from there. Any difference in width between the two is compensated by the unpleated section at either end.

i make a good pattern to start with, but i also bolt the seat back to the base before I cover the backrest ....then i mark where the pleats on the covered bottom hit the foam at on the uncovered back piece. That way if they are slightly off, i can line them up. I have done it by eye a bunch, but now i have a laser i just shine on the pleat and it helps me mark it.
