Does anyone here have experience with patterning plastic? If so, would you recommend it? If not what do you prefer to use for making patterns, for mainly rounded objects including hand brake boots, when making custom patterns? I've included a link to show you what I mean by patterning plastic (in case there is a more popular term for it).

I just finished 2 recliners and ottomans using the grid plastic, worked fine but is a lightweight material, heavier vinyl may be a better choice as John recommends.
