I'm a novice sewer, i'm making or trying to make a kitchen extension to my car, we have a roof tent and go camping a lot.
So everything was going wellish sewing 400gram ripstop poly cotton which i'm making it from, then the bobbin ran out. After realising this there was a thread which snapped in the hook assembly jamming it up. I removed the hook assembly to free up the jam and now the hook does not pick up the thread.
The hook assembly is screwed to a gear with 3 grub screws, one screws into a groove in the hook assembly shaft so is not adjustable.
Is there a service guide anywhere or does anyone know how to adjust the hook timing?
best regards

How did you make out? I had 2 Brother B837's. Awesome machine. Made in Japan in the days of high quality.

Best to bring it to a real industrial sewing mechanic with your work ,thread, needle and have him tune it. He may offer a few tips on thread to use etc.
National Fabric co.

Thanks, I appreciate the information.
