Hello everyone,

I own a pair of old Saarinen tulip chairs from Knoll, and like many chairs like that (same goes for the Eames armchairs) in some places the fabric has "un-glued" from the foam, so I was wondering if any of you had a trick to re-glue the fabric to the foam without fully removing the fabric (with some kind of seringe, maybe) ?

If the fabric was in bad shape, I would opt for re-upholstering, but it's in a good condition, except those few spots where the fabric has "un-glued" from the foam, and it's a real pain to reupholster entirely.

Thank you for your time!

Do you have a photo of what you are describing? I have worked on a lot of Eames leather chairs and never noticed it being glued.
I would assume the fabric would be the same as leather.
If it actually is glue you can try to steam the fabric to get it to release and reposition the fabric before the glue reattaches.

Thanks, I appreciate the information.
