I would do a test on pvc and see if it warps in the hot sun. This is something I have been meaning to test for a while but havent. Other wise your best options in my opinion would be 1/8" plywood or aluminum sheet.

A lot of times those tabs break off and i usually ending up figuring out some other way of attaching it. That cardboard is called Card Board Tack Strip. personally Id probably glue two sheets of chip board together and then cut out the strips needed....

@Ron Henningsen The forum doesn't have the capacity to store and upload videos. Best way would be to load the video to YouTube and then post the link here.

That looks like a nightmare. I hope your charging extra for all that. I would dispose of all the fabric right away and fumigate every inch of that car multiple times. You dont want those things finding their way in to your house and reeking havoc in you home.

The springs are called no-sag springs.
Not sure what that black material is.
For fabric you can use any material you like. Its doubtful that you would be able to find an exact match.
Albright's supply should heave everything you need.

I would not reuse the door card an make a new one. Yes everything your considering doing is possible but honestly will probably be more work than if you had made it from scratch yourself. 1/4 scrim foam wont give you much depth for your pleats. when you glue the cover to the door card you can run th...
