@JimmieJoe , It was too long.
@Rhonda , that is the redo? I have not but could easily. What contact cement did you use? Heat resistance has to be high on this project.
Does not even look like an upholstery vinyl
What is entirely wrong with that? Once you get it stretched out I think it will look good and take a look at interiors car car shows and you will see thread in the seam at times. I would take it apart and redo if really picky otherwise leave it.
My advice is make sure your using a 500,000 double rub on this job. Lots of abrasion!
@cosmichomscanada , wrong avenue for this posting @ John
@audrey06 . are you offering how to advice or selling an item or materials?
@Cale , what are you doing with that long arm Consew? Did it just turn out to be a real lemon?
@ctmk2 , common thinking about the machine and its ability to go through material. I have ran into this exact thing in the past even went to a sail shop and used their long arm. Well the needle just jammed into a dead stop. That is a technical procedure and I do a lot of my visors the packard way.
@fibersport ,you can get a good variety of vendors selling these on e-bay.
@Ron Henningsen , I will bring this up with John.
@orion1210 , with any luck we will learn the secret of that procedure. I have been trying for a long time and never get tit to lay down like that ever. I always get creases that are much larger and what color are you doing that in?
Singer 111G 156 ha ha. I almost have this timed but not quite. Took the hook out to replace but singer online hook replacement did not fit was too long. A good machine for mending when needed but does not run like it did before I removed the hook.
@Rhonda , you need to shop around that seems high.
So many odd projects come in that need power that are not just fabric and foam, rubber, heavy canvas, straps, PLASTICS. Thats why multiple machines.
I am going to stick with the speed reducer and clutch. I have too many thick dirty projects to contend with and need power. I cannot speak for the servos do not have them on my machines. @adam12 can help you with this he set me up.
@Feisty I own and operate three of the different models Adam12 recommended. You should find and old Singer that way.

I had my own likes but as my shop has evolved into varied projects I have just taken the advice and purchase from Adam12 on here. He know proper machinery for your application, knows his stuff and is trustworthy.
Just running a project and using American E thread. Do you know where this is really made seems funny they chose that name. I have a thread unravelling issue every time I cut the thread now but no fraying. It sounds like the thread you liked may be similar to U-Bond.
