I had a lightning and the fabric stretched out pretty bad and rolled up. The vinyl looks pretty good on the seats, just fabric off.

@Rhonda,

I really dislike working with fabrics and I mean a lot! The fabric pulls and tightens all the time. The seats are done and do not look bad.

@Rhonda , We owned a Lightning and the material that was cloth was thin. I really do not like working with it. I even got that with vinyl on regular 10th gen F150 seats and vinyl. I would steam it down and see if it settles.

@fibersport , It is impossible to not buy the sofa slip covers from Wal Mart unless you want to spend a good deal on fabric, elastic and your time.

It is called OPEN time in which you can lift and reposition fabrics if you need too. I think if you are going to use an aersol can and want to be 100% sure of the strength of the bond I would consider Lepages Upholstery Contact Cement at Home Depot. It will tell you on the can how long you can mess ...

It is your car so you can lay the carpet in any way you want if you are not concerned about noise reduction. I only shop my supplies from Upholstery suppliers. but think you should get some advice from somebody here on sourcing your material.

@LLeeT , may have gravitated towards exhaustion and took a break. You do not get those too often to work on very heavy material and work.
