@BigRig
I'm hoping the same as you, would make certain patterns a cinch. Is that your handywork on those diamonds?
I second @kl4bidn 's remark! Long time no see on the forum, glad to see you back and you brought a sense of humor with you! No apologies either.
@John
You are officially in the running!
I got confirmation this morning.
Good luck!!!
@John
Heck yes! It would be an honor to nominate someone like you that has given so much of your time to educate people around the globe about this industry and your passion to keep it going. I can't think of a more deserving person, consider yourself nominated as soon as I get on their website.
@Weerirrg If you are going to do any painting on cars you will need at least 17cfm, you can forget sandblasting with that compressor, I know that breaks your heart lol. It's not a bad price at all so if you buy it you can always get your money back if you find it doesn't meet your needs. My advice ...
@IvanD
Sounds like a plan to me, I'm all about making whatever it takes to get the job done and if it makes things easier the better.
No problem @John , I hate bashing and I was not really trying to call out a particular company's brand name but @BigRig asked me if I had ever used it. I just want to save someone else from making a high dollar mistake like I did when it comes to tight tolerance engines.
@IvanD
Very impressive! Looking good.
@Joemcglynn
Cool Mopar!
@John
Another thanks also from me. Those were the next items on my to buy list and now I know what to buy.
Hey @Cale give me time to get cluttered too, I haven't gotten wound up yet. You ain't making anything happen unless you have a clutter, that shows progress.
My engine was fine but I had heard all these great things about Lucas products so I figured what the heck, I'll give it a try. Bad mistake!
@BigRig
I hear ya brother lol. Yeah one with that many miles on her could use some thick goop to take up the clearance gaps for sure.
@BigRig
Is that one your son painted? That International didn't look that good when it was new, I bet the driver is smiling with his new paint and air ride seat!!
@BigRig I ran Lucas oil additive in my wife's 3.7 liter jeep for 45 minutes total and you won't like what I have to say about it. It got the bearings that quick. She only had 57,000 miles on it when I screwed it up with Lucas. That's when I learned about the importance of not using thick oils where...
@Hope Komla The first number in the equation is 5w, that is the viscosity or flow rate of the oil. The second number, 50, is the capacity of lubrication it has. So in laymen terms that oil flows as a 5w oil but has the same lubrication capabilities as a 50w oil. You can change the second number but...
@John I had no idea either. @IvanD bought the Arrow brand, I'm interested to see if @rob_fer bought the Bostitch brand and if so did he have different results or the same?
@BigRig I stand corrected, I just watched a video of a guy with a c 6500 headliner that completely falling apart and it looked to be the egg carton crap.. He basically coated the backside in fiberglass resin and then added mat to the missing sections and it turned out pretty dang solid.
@BigRig is it a fiberglass board, egg carton type Styrofoam or fiberboard? If it's the Styrofoam your pretty much out of luck, about all you can do with that stuff is tape it back together and hope for the best. If it's one of the other two just scuff it up and lay a piece of fiberglass mat over th...
@Jayscanvas
Do you need a pair of scissors?
I’m not sure what you are using on the edge […]
Good information. I'm going to check this foam pl[…]
