Hello All,

I have a bubble forming in my 1999 SL500 dashboard. I can remove the instrument cluster to have access so I can inject glue underneath with a syringe. I only get one chance to do this right so what glue would be best? Also, any tricks I might use like using heat, cold, etc? Any advice is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

You would need a glue that dry's under rubber, weldwood makes a glue for it. The yellow spray glue is air dry, it wouldn't dry beyond the edge. I do a lot of pro tech padding on bass boats, birdsong dry's under rubber, and other special glues. Several years ago I was putting new carpet on a bass boat, when I pulled the screwed down foot control for the trolling motor and pulled the carpet up, the glue that was under the foot control was still wet. It was crazy, it had been sitting trapped under that minn kota foot control for years and never dried. I know bubbles in carpet can be fixed with a rubber mallet, as long as there's glue under it.
