Did a rough cut on the carbon fibre shell. Next is to cut the lines more straight, glue some rings to the carbon where the bolts will go for even distribution of the force when torquing down and continue with the bottom piece for the bracket.

Awesome work! Like the progress pics. Have any in how you did the steering wheel forged carbon?

Remove the leather upholstery and remove all the old glue, then just apply some epoxy to the steering wheel as a prime coat, then put all the small chops on the steering wheel, add some more epoxy to it. Let it dry, then sand flat and add epoxy again. If needed add extra chops if there are spots uncovered. Sand again and put clear coat on it for UV protection. Mine needs a final layer of clear still... but i am collecting some items to clear them all at once.

It would be easier to use a vacuum machine to have all the chops lay flat, but i dont have one at the moment so did it by hand.

This is what the first lay up looks like.

Closing the hole on the B pillar.
Made a template for the lower part where the seat belt normally comes out between the plastic covers, to fill it up and make the panel even for upholstery.

This is something I plan on doing with my audi also. Shaving the seat belts and going with a harness.

The door inserts of my other toyota avensis were coming loose at the edges. Took the doorpanel out and replaced the black perforated leather with dark grey leather.

Installing the frequency filters on the doors, in a way that they exactly fit in a spare space in the doorpanels. The filters weigh 1 kg each. There is just enough space to get them in.
