First time ...as you can see I'm having trouble sewing the two together to lay flat and sew a top stitch any ideas to join the two. Should I actually sew or just sew top stitch and glue to door panel topped with foam. The larger is the door panel and the last photo is the kick panel which came good. I just got a consew machine just to do the upholstery myself and husband is doing the truck restore.

Anytime you are sewing a point, the pattern accuracy becomes supper critical. Maintaining the correct seam allowance is just as much so.

What John said is correct. It also looks like your thread tension and presser foot tension may be off and contributing to the wrinkles. Also you should lengthen the stitch length.

Also rarely till pieces with that shape lay flat by them selves. It will need steam and tension when you install it.
